1492-SP1D030  A-B  I / O module The PowerMonitor 5000 unit can correct for wiring errors by logically mapping physical voltage and current inputs to voltage and current metering channels. You determine if and when this occurs by issuing a Wiring Corrections Command. The wiring corrections command offers a number of options: • Automatically correct the wiring according to the wiring diagnostics results for the power factor range 1, 2, or 3 that you select. • Manually apply wiring correction. • Remove previously-applied wiring corrections. The ‘Virtual Wiring Correction’ status indicator next to the voltage terminal blocks indicates when wiring corrections are in effect.For example, an Input_I1_Mapping value of -1 inverts the polarity of the secondary connection to the CT on phase 1. The values of these parameters are ignored if automatic wiring correction is selected in the command. If manual input mapping is selected, all mapping parameters are required and the combination is checked for validity (mapping of two physical inputs to the same metering channel is not permitted).The PowerMonitor 5000 unit performs calculations on scaled, digital voltage, and current values. Signals connected to the voltage and current inputs are sampled and their instantaneous values are converted to digital values in an analog-to-digital (A/D) converter section. These values are scaled according to configured PT Primary, PT Secondary, CT Primary, and CT Secondary parameters, and evaluated according to the configured Wiring Mode parameter. All metering results can be viewed by using the Web interface, FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix software, version 2.0, or standard CIP communication.
