Priorto connecting powerto the 2300, verify that the voltage and current capabilities of your power source are in the range listed in the specifications. To prevent damage to system components, it is prudent to include a protection element in the supply path forthe system. While the 2300 features internal fuses (3.5A) to interrupt power during fault conditions, these fuses require replacement of the entire monitor module once they have been exposed to an overload condition. It is easierto replace an external fuse orreset and external circuit breaker once the source of the fault has been remedied.

Ethernet cables should be CAT5 cables with insulation that can withstand the operating environment. In environments where electromagnetic fields are largely uncontrolled, communication speeds between the monitor and the host may be aided by shielded Ethernet cables. The Ethernet communication link to the host can be connected to the port. This port can also be used to communicate with 2 Modbus host (Master) devices via Modbus TCP over Ethernet.
