The channel configuration must be identified priorto connecting the simulation signals to the 2300 monitor. Referto the configuration software for operation and identify the following forthe channel being verified: 1. Transducer Type 2. Transducer Scale Factor 3. Full Scale (Top Scale) 4. Low Frequency Corner 5. High Frequency Corner 6. Events per Revolution (Speed channels only) 7. Threshold, Hysteresis, and notch or Projection settings (Speed channels only) 8. Manual or Auto Threshold (Speed channels only) Once the channel configuration information is known, follow the steps below to verify the operation of that channel. Always rely on the DMM reading when verifying monitor accuracy. 2300 monitor performs a comprehensive self-test on power up, continuous memory and internal node voltage monitoring.  The System Event list will include the failed self-test items.  The monitor will flag the associate channel(s) as Not OK and will prevent changing in alarm status forthe affected channel(s). Referto Event List forinformation on System Event List events and corrective actions. Use the reported bias voltage to determine the cause of wiring faults. The following tables list the expected bias voltage values associated with common faults. Note that some faults are listed as “Possible” as anotherfault (such as internal sensorfault) can also result in this bias voltage level. Use these tables as the initial investigation point ratherthan the only field wiring determination method.
