Do not connect the external source of loop powerin series with the 4-20mA loop. The 4-20mA outputs is designed to connect with DCS or other passive 4-20mA devices. The 4-20mA output has open-loop detection and recoders open-loop event when: l the cable is disconnected or l the loop resistance is greaterthan 600 ohm at more than 21mA current output.

The SPA connector on the 2300/25 monitor has 10 pins. These are 2 connections with 5 pins are wired in parallel to allow an incoming and outgoing connection. Either set of pins may be used for incoming or outgoing connections. It is required to wire the SPA line shield to the SPA connector, and ensure that the 2300/25 monitor chassis is ground to the earth as described in See "Connecting Ground" on page 22. This will ensure the SPA line shield is grounded in orderto provide the required electrical shielding and the best performance. Below is the recommended SPA config for supported BN sensors.
